weekend craftiness

a new design idea i tried out over the weekend:

not that you can really see it, but this pouch has a curved top, which became a bit troublesome when trying to sew in the zip. I’m going to make another with a less chunky zip and hope that the top sits better.

i have developed a love for hand-stitched detail. i try and fit in a bit of handstitched detail in each piece that i make. i like the wonkiness, the uneveness of hand stitching.

i am soon going to try my hand at some embroidery – i feel rather excited having found this courtesy of … i can’t quite remember now (nor can i find) … but i am sure it was either Meet me at Mikes or Floresita

this little pouch will eventually make it into my etsy shop. i have plans to re-photograph my stock (with the help of a wonderful friend) and re-do my shop. no rush though…
